The Sky
The day had a slight breeze as Benny and Beth played outside. Benny was ten and Beth was twelve and full of life. They used their energy as running from the backyard, threw the woods and into the field.
They see a storm cloud cover the sky. "Benny look," Beth said. With one small finger pointing upward. There seemed to be an enormous bubble shaped circle in the sky. They watched as the bubble glowed and then zip across the sky. It stopped as though it spotted them. A beam of light struck the ground, knocking Beth off her feet.
They ran over to it and found a light blue transparent glob floating in midair. Benny reached his hand out to touch it. "It's gummy," he said. Just then, the object shocked him. He fell to the ground, motionless. Beth screamed at the top of her lungs and the object vibrated as it returned to the bubble and zipped away.
Beth shook Benny until he comes to. "It was ice cold, and the jolt ran through my whole body. It was scary," he said. "Don't worry, it’s gone now." Beth said, reassuring him.
Benny sat up. His hair was a mess. A frown swept over his face. "It's coming back!" He shouted. They sat there frightened as an enormous bubble decent overhead. The glob split from the bubble again and a beam of light encircled them. The glob shocked them many times, making them weak.
When the glob entered the bubble, it left. Beth sighed with relief until she had seen it, took Benny with it.
